Hope in Bay began with a deeply personal story.

For founder Rowan, the inspiration came from someone very close to her heart—her mom, a two-time breast cancer survivor. Watching her mother navigate treatment revealed the emotional and physical challenges that can accompany a cancer diagnosis, but it also showed Rowan the incredible impact that compassion and small acts of kindness can have during difficult moments.

That experience became the beginning of something meaningful.

As a high school student aspiring to pursue a career in reconstructive plastic surgery, Rowan wanted to find a way to give back to a community that had profoundly shaped her life. Hope in Bay was created with a simple but powerful goal: to provide thoughtfully curated care kits that offer comfort, encouragement, and a reminder that no one has to face their journey alone.

More Than a Care Kit

A Hope in Bay care kit is more than a collection of items.

Each kit is thoughtfully assembled with comfort in mind. Practical essentials, self-care products, cozy items, and handwritten messages of encouragement come together to provide both physical comfort and emotional support.

But the bigger goal goes beyond the kit itself.

Hope in Bay hopes to build a community rooted in compassion, service, and hope—a community where individuals going through breast cancer treatment are reminded that they are seen, valued, and supported.
